Delete your Urbexology account
Urbexology uses passwordless sign-in: your account is identified only by the email address you used to sign in. This page explains what data we hold and how to remove it.
What we store
- Your email address (used as the login identifier)
- Spots you contributed, personal notes, favourite colours, and comments
- Basic activity metadata (last login, contribution count)
How to delete everything
- Open the app or the website and make sure you are signed in with the account you want to delete.
- Tap the menu (top-right), open Profile, then use the Delete my account button.
- Confirm the request. Your account, personal notes, and contributions are removed within seven days.
If you cannot sign in, email contact@urbexology.com from the address tied to the account and we will delete it manually within seven days.
Public contributions that other users have interacted with (comments, spot photos) may be kept in an anonymised form after deletion, so the public map does not develop gaps. Personal identifiers (email, private notes, colour preferences) are always erased.
Data we cannot remove
Aggregated, anonymous usage counters and rotated web-server access logs (retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention) do not identify you and are not linked back to your email.
